Our activities range from large commercial projects to industrial construction to architectural homes and residential repairs and alterations. Ajax is one of the larger privately owned construction companies operating in Southland, Central and South Otago as well as in Fiordland. We maintain our reputation for competitive tendering, accurate estimating for budget purposes and timely project completion.

Commercial Building

We carry out a large variety of commercial works, from minor alterations to 'design and build' contracts.

Industrial

We service a regular client base within various industries. Industrial businesses need a reliable contractor to carry out work in their environment to their required standards. We are a contractor who complies with the health and safety requirements of the Employment Acts and who completes projects on time and on budget. This is why we are a regular contractor with organizations such as Fonterra's Edendale plant and Alliance Group's Mataura plant.

Residential

We carry out all sorts of residential work, from fitting a new door lock to building million dollar plus designer homes. The same care and attention is applied to the job no matter how large or small.

Dairying

We have extensive experience within the dairy industry, having completed a large number of dairy sheds: herring bone, rotary and robotic throughout Southland and West Otago.

Sheds

We can design and build custom or kitset sheds of all sizes whether that be on the farm or in town. Given your requirements, we can arrange design and lodge building consents, program and execute construction. We carry out a wide range of farm maintenance and have our own lifting and access equipment to ensure the job is done safely

Insurance

We are regularly called upon to complete insurance works for various insurance companies and are an accredited supplier to Vero Insurance.
